DermaQuest is a treatment that restores the skin’s attractive and beautiful appearance. These are excellent quality peels that will help you in the fight against problems such as the effects of aging skin, loss of firmness, wrinkles, discoloration, loss of color, oilyness and imperfections, acne, signs of photoaging. Treatments using Dermaquest enjoy excellent opinions among patients and specialists.

I offer a range of intensive skin peels and resurfacer treatments using DermaQuest advanced skincare technology.  Suitable for the face, décolleté and hands, they are tailored specifically to your skin type, needs and skin concerns and are totally safe and non-invasive.

DermaQuest chemical peels and resurfacer treatments harness the deeply exfoliating properties of a variety of naturally occurring acids including those derived from fruit, nuts and milk to name but a few.

These acids including Lactic, Mandelic, Glycolic and Salicylic help to un-clog pores, reduce inflammation and regulate excessive oil production thus removing dead and damaged skin cells and stimulating the renewal of healthy new cells beneath the surface of the skin. Following your treatment, once healed, open pores, blemishes, acne, pigmentation and fine lines are all visibly reduced and your skin is left glowing, tightened and radiant.

Please note the skin must be prepped correctly prior to starting your peels.  After your consultation, we will advise you on the best products to prepare for your course of peels and what to use to care for your skin along with full aftercare advice and product recommendations after treatment.

Following a thorough consultation and appropriate pre-treatment skin preparation, skin peel and resurfacer treatments begin with a thorough cleanse of the skin before the therapist passes the skin peel or resurfacer solution over the treatment area.

  • After resurfacers these side effects usually subside in a day or two.
  • Chemical peels induce a significant amount of peeling of the skin at the treatment site on days 2-7, which usually resolves itself by days 8-10.
  • Wear an SPF daily after your peel and avoid heat treatments on the treated area.
  • Written aftercare advice will be provided along with recommended homecare products to ensure the best possible results are obtained.

Does it hurts?

DermaQuest chemical peels and resurfacer treatments are completely safe and non-invasive. The sensation of chemical peels and resurfacers will vary from person to person due to skin tolerance, skin condition, severity of a skin complaint and the strength of the peel.

The skin may heat up, feel tight and tingly. This is perfectly normal.

With a full chemical peel it may feel incredibly hot but the solution self neutralises so this normally only lasts for up to 3 minutes – This is a good sign that the active ingredients are penetrating and getting to work on rejuvenating the lower layers of the skin.
